226B series marine diesel engine is a modified model, which is developed, according to the relevant national standards and ship regulations, through making improvement on the combustion system, intake an exhaust system, cooling system, PTO system and engine monitoring system on the basis of assimilating foreign advanced technology. This model boasts wide power and speed range, small size and weight, impact structure, reliable operation, advanced economic and technical targets as well as convenient installation. It is mainly used as the main engine or the auxiliary engine of the ship.

Wide power range
The power range of 226B marine engine is 35-150kW and its speed range is 1500-2500r/min.
Low fuel consumption
The minimum fuel consumption of 226B engine is 198g/kW.h. Its fuel consumption curve is very flat. It has good economy under common working condition.
Backed by the internationally advanced technology, 226B marine engine is superior to the home-made engine in terms of components design and the selection of raw materials. The engine components will go through harsh inspection to ensure a high reliability. High performance engine monitoring meter can effectively guarantee the reliable operation of the engine.
Convenient installation and maintenance
226B marine engine adopts 6135C flywheel housing (widely used in China) or SAE1, SEAII (international standard) flywheel housing. Both the seawater-freshwater exchanger and the air cooler are mounted on the engine making the installation more convenient. To make easier for the maintenance, some alterations are made on the observation hole of the injection advance angle, the fuel filter as well as the position of the oil drain hole.
Flywheel and Flywheel shell
There are three kinds of flywheel shell for choice: SAEI, SAEII, 6135C.
Crankshaft front end output
Power output from the front end can meet the needs of driving the seawater pump, generator, steel wheel pump, fish net elevator and other appliance. And there are many kinds of belt wheel given for the choice.
Impeller shaft of seawater pump is made of stainless steel, impeller and sealing ring are made of brass that is eroding-resistant and can prolong their life greatly. In addition to this, there are other kinds of seawater pump and double-suck seawater pumps that have more rate of flow and higher lift for the customer.
Fresh water cooling system
The type of cooling system is still closed and compelled cooling. According to the circumstance (tropics, semi-tropics, temperate-zone and etc), people can choose 55≧, 75≧ and 85≧, temperature controlled or no temperature controller and let the cooling water flow into the big circulation directly, which can keep the cooling water at about 80≧ after the circulation. Cooling pipes of the seawater-freshwater exchanger are made of brass pipe, and its cooling core is assembled by the advanced expanding-connection technology.
Intake and exhaust system
The intake and exhaust system has been improved more to adapt the special circumstance for ships to haul fishnets.
Structure 1: the surface of the exhaust pipe and turbocharged is smeared with special warm-proof by special technology, which has lowered the temperature in the engine room. Steel cover is added to the exhaust pipe to prevent people from scalding by the protruding tighten blots.
Structure2: specialized exhaust pipe is designed for marine diesel engine. The exhaust pipe is cooled by sea water through sea water and fresh water exchanger of inner-cooler. This structure can reduce the surface temperature of exhaust pipe to below 60≧.
Apparatus monitoring system
226B series marine diesel engine equips with the advanced ED211A5G or FV5K5F4 series deseil engine monitor. The monitors are all PC controlled. The car measure and display automatically the diesel engine speed cooling water temperature, oil temperature and speed cooling water temperature.
