X6160/R6160 Series Diesel Engine for Gen-sets

R6160 series is the fifth generation mid-speed engine developed on the basis of the 61610 series by Weifang Diesel Engine Works in 2003. More mature and well-performing as it is, the R6160 series is a combination of the internationally advanced engine developing concept and the 50-year-long engine design and manufacturing experience. The good performance, rational design, compact structure, good appearance, large power output, easy operation an maintenance, good dynamics, economy and reliability which the R6160 series boasts, put this series in a leading position among the same engines in China

The R6160 series for generating has a power range of 180-330kW and a speed of 1000r/min. It can be assembled with different kind of generator to make up a generating set o f120-300kW. Different kinds of engines can be provided to the customers according to their requirement. Now it has become the first choice for the stationary power station, backup power and special power supply.

It has following design features:

The structure of the engine is of engine seat type. Which facilitates the maintenance and deduces the workload.

Crankshaft is made of nodular cast iron with high strength and has been nitrogenized.

Wet cylinder liner is made of boron alloy cast iron. Its inner surface is ground by 0platform network honing. So it has high stiffness, low abrasion and long serving life.

There are three gas rings and one oil ring. The first ring is chromium plated barrel-shaped ring with good running-in performance.

P type injection pump and low inertia injector are produced with introduced technology.

User can choose either electric motor or compressed air motor to start.

Low noise, slight vibration, smooth and steady operation

The governing system adopts mechanical governing or intelligentized governing. Convenience of operation and maintenance is considered sufficiently in the design of the engine.
